Evan Becker, DVM

Dr.Becker was born and raised on a small horse farm in Frederick, Maryland. He attended the University of Kentucky where he was a member of the polo team and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science in 2015. With a passion for equine medicine, Dr. Becker continued his education at Auburn University where he received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2019. Following a one-year rotating surgery and ambulatory internship at Ocala Equine Hospital, Dr. Becker joined Hagyard’s racetrack division in 2020. He practiced on the thoroughbred racetrack in central Kentucky for five years before beginning a new role with Hagyard as Advanced Diagnostics Team Veterinarian in 2025. Dr. Becker’s personal interests include spending time and traveling with his wife (Joy) and two young children (Charlie and Wyatt), playing golf, and attending Kentucky and Auburn sporting events.
