Emergency Response Training

Hagyard Equine Medical Institute strives to educate veterinarians, first responders and individual horse owners in large animal emergency response techniques by offering extensive 3-day courses annually.

Hagyard's next courses will be held August 18-20 and August 22-24, 2008 at the Kentucky Horse Park located in Lexington, Kentucky. Each course is "hands-on" using live, trained horses and is restricted to 25 participants.  Please click here for a course outline.

This course meets the requirements for 22.5 hours of continuing education credit for veterinarians and 22.5 hours of continuing education credit for veterinary technicians in jurisdictions, which recognize AAVSB’s RACE approval; however participants should be aware that some boards have limitations on the number of hours accepted in certain categories and/or restrictions on certain methods of delivery of continuing education. (RACE Program 71-4310) Veterinarians approved for 22.5 continuing education hours and veterinary technicians approved for 22.5 continuing education hours by the Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners.
