Hagyard Sport Horse in Lexington, Kentucky has specifically assembled a team of individuals to bring the same level of excellent care to show horse athletes that we have long provided the race horse and breeding industries. The program is lead by FEI-licensed equine veterinarian Duncan Peters, DVM, MS.
The Program
Hagyard Sport Horse incorporates comprehensive services, therapies and performance horse management designed to serve horses and clients competing across the country - from Kentucky to Florida to Michigan to California - and beyond.
Together, client and veterinarian will focus on:

Owners and trainers will find they are able to make highly-informed decisions and have better access to expert care, especially while on the circuit. Care will be on-going, with consideration given as much to long-term maintenance and improvement as to solving short term problems. More specifically, Hagyard Sport Horse veterinarians will use up-to-the-minute scientific data and current technology to help clients reach goals for their horses that minimize injury and optimize performance, while providing appropriate diagnostics and injury treatment, regular evaluations of the systems in place, and ongoing consultations.
Program Options
Clients may choose various levels of interaction with Hagyard Sport Horse. These range from a case-by-case basis to a comprehensive retainer relationship wherein the veterinarian and client form a "partnership" to establish customized programs that reach long-term health and maintenance goals and fully optimize the equine athlete's performance.
