Community Involvement

Hagyard is proud to support these and other local organizations:

    CKRH

Central Kentucky Riding for Hope is dedicated to enriching the community by improving the quality of life and the health of children and adults with special physical, cognitive, emotional and social needs through therapeutic activities with the horse. All proceeds from Hagyard Pharmacy's Colostrum Bank go to CKRH.

The Maker’s Mark Secretariat Center, located in the Kentucky Horse Park, is a premier reschooling facility and showcase for adoptable Thoroughbreds.

    Markey Cancer

The Foundation works to provide the funding for Markey Cancer Center programs, recruiting top researchers and physicians and finding better ways to assist patients and their families during such a crisis time in their lives. Each year, Hagyard hosts the Betsy, a gala named in honor of Betsy Fishback, to benefit the Markey Cancer Foundation. In eight years, Hagyard has raised more than $630,000 for the Foundation.

    KEMI

The Kentucky Equine Management Internship (KEMI) program is dedicated to improving the opportunities for college students wishing to pursue a career in the field of equine management. Hagyard's veterinarians work closely with KEMI students to ensure they get the most out of their internship opportunity.

    Fayette Alliance

A coalition of citizens dedicated to achieving sustainable growth in Lexington-Fayette County through land use advocacy, education, and promotion. Hagyard is proud to sponsor the Bluegrass International Cup polo match to benefit the Alliance.

    Bluegrass Convervancy

Bluegrass Conservancy is a nonprofit land trust working to protect the inner Bluegrass Region of Kentucky through land conservation for future generations. Hagyard supports the Conservancy by sponsoring the Farmland Conservation Celebration and Auction each year.
